When we participate in worship God is serving us. God feeds us with His Word. God declares and affirms His love for us. We are assured that our sins are forgiven through Jesus Christ. God instructs us as to how to live as Jesus’ followers. And, we have opportunity to encourage and support one another through hymns, prayers, and visiting.
You will experience classic liturgy developed from hundreds of years of Christian worship practices filled with traditional hymns and contemporary song. At least twice a month, we have the Lord’s Supper for people who have been instructed in the Christian faith.
We love children in worship. Our children-friendly worship services include:
Activity bags with books and games to reinforce the message
A children’s bulletin
A “children’s Sunday school” – SJ-KIDZ – for kids ages 3-8, while Pastor shares his message with the adults (runs September to early June)
A blessing on Communion Sundays
A “cry room” at the back of the sanctuary for nursing mothers or restless toddlers; the service is piped into the room so that you can hear the service
Come as you are! Casual dress is ok. You will see people in jeans, business clothes, and dress clothes. What’s most important is to be there, connecting with God and His family.
