“Even though we are 'Ugly' God loves and forgives us.”
Pastor Schaeffer discusses the love God has for us despite the "ugliness" of our sin. It is God's love for us that welled up in His Son's heart so that He willingly died on the cross for our sin. "Even when we did not love God, he loved us and sent His Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sin." (1 John 4:10)
