St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church (LCMS) was founded in 1929 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We love to worship and serve the Lord by loving and serving one another, our neighborhood, and our city. We’ve been serving the Creston neighborhood for ninety years. Our Lutheran school ISJ Academy provides preschool and K-8 day school (in partnership with Immanuel Lutheran Church).
Sunday Worship
Join us for Sunday worship from 9:30 am - 10:45 am in person or on Facebook Live. Bible Study follows at 11 am. Holy Communion on 1st, 3rd & 5th Sundays.

ISJ Academy Lutheran School
We partner with Immanuel Lutheran Church to provide preschool and day school at ISJ Academy. Our faith-based curriculum will help develop students of all ages to grow in knowledge and their faith. We welcome the opportunity to show how the love of Jesus is at work in the hearts of ISJ!
