The NATIONAL YOUTH GATHERING is in SAN ANTONIO, TX, Summer 2013. That event will be here before you know it and our Youth needs to earn money for the trip. You can help by donating to our 2nd Best Sale. A portion of the profits from the Sale goes for this amazing experience. The 2nd Best Sale begins September 29th and runs through October 1st. Our collection room is full but that is NO PROBLEM. Please just leave any donation outside the door or around the corner by the choir room. All donations need to be at the church by September 25th. Any and all donations are appreciated. Even LARGE items! Questions? See Beth M.
The Youth Group Kick-Off Meetings will be Sunday, September 18th, starting after church until 1:30 p.m. for the Jr. Youth Group and 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. for the Sr. Youth Group. Note the Jr. Youth is to bring $2.00 for pizza. Sr. Youth, please bring a snack to share. Check your mailboxes at church for further details.
We are looking for donations of wrapped candy for the children’s Christmas treat bags to be given out at the Sunday School Christmas Program and again on Christmas Eve. Please bring all donations to the office or give them to Beth by December 9th.

The storage room is getting full but we can always take more!!! The Fall 2nd Best Sale will be held on Thursday, September 30th – Saturday October 2nd. The last day to make your donation to the Sale will be on Monday, September 27th. So all those school clothes that the kids out grew over the Summer, well, bring them to church and leave them down by the Choir Room door. We take most any item you will no longer use with the exception of mattresses. Thank you!

Volunteers are needed for our July 12-15 Music Camp. If you can teach, aide, serve juice & cookies, make crafts, donate cookies, do registration, help with outdoor recreation, please speak with Beth McKay. Thank you!
A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who helped pitch in to make our Carnival a success. It couldn’t be done without you! The church had a chance to get out and mingle with the neighborhood families and everyone had fun! So thanks again for sharing your time for such a great outreach event.
We will be meeting in the basement for pizza at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 9, 2010 . Following dinner, we will rehearse your testimonies.
We still have a lot of fliers that need to be spread throughout the Northeast side neighborhood to let everybody know of our upcoming Carnival May 15th! If you can spare a little of your time to canvass a few streets that haven’t been done by Pastor and Linda it would be greatly appreciated. Check out the map located in the Main entryway and plot your route, take a handful or two of fliers, and have some fun!
Set up for the Carnival starts bright and early Saturday morning. If you can stop by church and help get the games, prizes, tables and chairs in place it would be greatly appreciated. If mornings aren’t your thing, consider manning a game during the 12-3 Carnival time. If late afternoons work best in your schedule, help is always needed to bring everything back into the church and put away in its proper place.
