LWML will have their first meeting of the Fall season Sunday, September 11, 2011.
Norma Carey leads the Bible study in the gathering room at 6 p.m. Ingathering: items to fill a Personal Care Kit for World Relief (if you haven’t already done so). Bring your mite box as we serve the Lord with gladness!
Elaine Bickel will be the keynote speaker for the LWML- sponsored Women’s Winter Retreat, “Faith in the Midst of the Jungle” held on Sat., Feb. 26th from 9:30-1:30 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Kentwood. Please RSVP to Doris at #575-9121 or momfrobel@yahoo.com by Tues., Feb. 22nd. The cost is $10 and includes a lunch and the ingathering donation is a new set of bath, hand and washcloth towels with a Bible verse or tract in a zip lock bag. Come for renewal and laughter to chase away those mid-winter blues!
Please remember that we will meet immediately after church on Sunday instead of the usual 6 pm time.

Throughout the month of December, the ladies of the LWML will have a “box” manger in the Main entryway of the church to collect diapers. The disposable diapers will be donated to the Pregnancy Resource Center in Grand Rapids. Next time you are in the store, consider picking up a package of diapers to help those in need. Thank you!
Meeting Sunday, Spetmeber 12, 2010 at 7 p.m. in the Gathering Room following the Bible study, “Beautiful Feet.” Bring your mites, smiles, and willing hands and feet for service. We’re set to serve the Lord with gladness for another year.
A few St. James ladies will be attending the LWML Mi. District Convention in mid-July and would like to take the suggested “Gift of Love” offering with them, but need YOUR help! New SOCKS of all kinds, colors, and gender can be put in the designated box on the Gathering room shelves through July 4th.

Ladies Winter Retreat!
LWML will hold its Winter Retreat on Saturday, February 28th starting at 9 am until 1 pm at St. James. There will be a guest speaker. Cost is $10. Coffee and rolls will be available. RSVP not later the Tuesday, February 23, to Cindy M.
